Chance is a Fine Thing!

It's funny how things come about. We can pretend that it's all about aptitude and talent, but in reality, as with everything else, it's probably more like 90% luck.

We were heading down to Kildare Outlet Village in the Republic of Ireland to help fit out a shop for leading linen designer and retailer Bedeck in the latest chic designer outlet village from Value Retail. This international organisation has a host of carefully designed, and very refined designer product sales villages in London, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich and now, just outside Dublin in Kildare. When we got there, being dedicated craftspeople ourselves, we were more than impressed with the exceptional quality of finish all around us, (and there was not one chippie, decrepit charity shop or dodgy pub in sight).

While chatting to the Bedeck team we, just happened to meet a big gang of Senior Buyers and the Retail Director of the whole Kildare project, who we just happened to show our brochure to. And by consequence, he just happened to ask us to include some of our products in an exhibition by one of the most famous Irish photographers ever, John Minihan. In case you aren't well versed in Irish photography, he is the man who took the famous shot of soon to be Princess Diana standing in the garden of the nursery where she worked with the sun shining through her skirt.

Consequently, we just happened to be very proud of ourselves and even though it was a simple case of being in the right place at the right time, we thought we'd revel in our luck with these celebratory photos!
